Former French Prime Minister François Fillon is to be jailed for two years: the Parisian criminal court sentenced the 66-year-old on Monday in an affair about the mock employment of his wife Penelope and his children. Fillon received a total of five years in prison and three years were suspended.
The couple wanted to appeal against the verdict.
