With this second “unusual early heat peak,” which lasted from Friday to Sunday, April 2024 could be the 26th consecutive month that temperatures will exceed or equal seasonally normal temperatures , an indication that the climate in France is clearly heating up.

Locally, several heat records for the month of April were recorded across the country, with maximum temperatures between 28 and 32 degrees Celsius in the southern part of the country on Friday and Saturday.
