Apparently the case is taken very seriously and the resignation of Taha Bouhafs from the constituency of Vénissieux is the consequence. According to BFMTV and Mediapart, an internal investigation was launched by France Insoumise after three people testified against the activist and journalist, who is also a legislative candidate.
Mediapart indicates that the 25-year-old activist is targeted by a “report” sent “to the follow-up unit against sexist and sexual violence” de LFI.

Testimonies of sexual violence
This is “an ex girlfriend” of the former candidate who, according to Mediapart accused him of sexual assault. The investigation site also reports that on 7 May, the day of the NUPES Convention in Aubervilliers, a detailed testimony was sent to the LFI body and the alert was “considered quite serious”according to our colleagues, to question his candidacy.

Since his retirement, rebellious France has announced that it has invested a new candidate in the 14th district of the Rhone. This is Idir Boumertit, fourth deputy mayor of Vénissieux, led by the communist Michèle Picard. The latter had denounced Bouhafs’ candidacy to the constituency.
