CAIRO- The president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF), Fouzi Lekjaa, affirmed that the unanimity of the members of the Executive Committee of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to grant Morocco the honor of hosting the Africa Cup of Nations CAN-2025 constitutes a crowning achievement of the development process led by His Majesty King Mohammed VI for more than two decades in various fields.

In a statement to MAP following the meeting of the CAF Executive Committee on Wednesday in Cairo, Mr. Lekjaa stressed that this choice also confirms that Morocco is ready to host major sporting events in the best conditions.

He said in this regard: “ Today, Morocco, with African unanimity, without the slightest debate, has the honor of organizing the next edition of the African Cup of Nations, it is the crowning achievement of a formidable work carried out by a Great King. It is also the best reward for a people passionate about football.”
