In the early evening a serious accident occurred on the A3 near Aschaffenburg. As reported by the Bayerischer Rundfunk among others, the motorway towards Würzburg was closed for several hours. Traffic has now been diverted around the crash site.

According to “Main-Echo”, there was a backlog around 4:45 pm. A truck driver recognized the situation too late and pushed three trucks in front of each other. The driver was trapped, so rescue was difficult. Traffic was blocked for miles.
