Four TNI Soldiers Killed by Separatist Group in Papua: Extraordinary Promotion and Compensation announced

Four TNI soldiers were shot dead by the Papuan separatist terrorist group (KTSP) in Paro District, Nduga Regency, Mountainous Papua. The four fallen soldiers will receive an Extraordinary Promotion (KPLB) for their services in carrying out their duties in Papua.

“They are KPLB,” he said TNI Commander General TNI Agus Subiyanto in a statement from the TNI Puspen, Tuesday (28/11/2023).

The four soldiers who died were Kopda Posthumous Yipsan Ladou (from Bawen Semarang), Kopda Posthumous Dwi Bekti Probo Sinimoko (from Sambirejo Jiwan, Madiun), Praka Posthumous Miftahul Firdaus (from Jaragan Wonosegoro, Boyolali), and Pratu Posthumous Dermawan (from Cicaheum Kiaracondong, Bandung). They are Battalion 411/Pandawa (Pdw) Kostrad.

General Agus Subiyanto expressed his condolences for the deaths of the four TNI soldiers.

“Yes, we are all grieving too,” said Agus.

The bodies of the four fallen soldiers have been evacuated and have arrived in West Java and Central Java for the burial process.

General Agus said that the families of the fallen TNI soldiers would also receive compensation.

“We have provided compensation in accordance with his rights, including from ASABRI, TNI AD, Bank BRI and Bank BJB, the amount per person is more than IDR 500 million,” he said.

Apart from the four soldiers who died, it was reported that there were members of Infantry Battalion 411/Pdw who received gunshot wounds, namely Serda AH, Pratu MI, and Praka BS. Yonif 411/Pdw assigned to Paro District, Nduga, Papua Mountains, was involved in a shootout with an armed criminal group (KKB) on Saturday (25/11).
