The upcoming edition of Vrienden van Amstel Live will be expanded with four shows. Also on April 26, 28, 29 and 30 there is now a concert in Rotterdam Ahoy, the organization announced today. Ticket sales for the extra shows have already started.

This means that the concert series now consists of twelve concerts. Artists including Guus Meeuwis, DI-RECT, Nick & Simon, Chef’Special, Typhoon, Willeke Alberti, Miss Montreal and Suzan & Freek will also perform from 1 to 4 and 6 to 9 May.

The tickets for the performances in May flew out this morning and that is why the organization decided to add shows. It will remain at twelve concerts, says Machiel Hofman. “You would prefer to offer everyone the opportunity to experience Friends of Amstel for an evening, but the agendas of the artists and the location do not offer more space than these twelve shows. It’s actually a miracle that we were able to put together so many shows in such a short period of time.”
