It came to confusing pack formations, because a few meters further Rubio also fell to the ground because he was tackled by Andreu Fontas. The Spanish central defender also saw the red card for this.
The trigger of all this, Salloi, initially only got away with a yellow card, but after a VAR check, Fischer also showed him the completely justified red card, madness! Nevertheless, Kansas was able to celebrate with the majority of the 17,233 fans in the end, because they had a 2-1 lead over time.
Salloi’s two goals (24’/50′) were enough because only Esteves netted for the Rapids (29′).
