Transfer of critically ill patients from Covid-19 to areas less affected by the virus continues. This Sunday, two medical trains carrying 41 patients
Ile-de-FranceAre expected during the day
in Brittany. “The first train will transport patients to Vannes, Lorient and Quimper. The second train will allow the transfer of patients distributed between Rennes, Saint-Malo, Morlaix and Brest, “said the Brittany Regional Health Agency in a statement on Saturday evening.

On March 24, six Haut-Rhin patients had already joined the hospitals of Brest and Quimper aboard a military aircraft. Two trains also carried
36 patients from Ile-de-France Wednesday before their transfer to several hospitals in the region.

Like all regions relatively spared from the coronavirus, Brittany participates in national solidarity by welcoming patients from the most affected regions such as the East or Ile-de-France. According to the latest assessment provided by the ARS on Saturday, the Brittany region currently lists 1,285 confirmed cases of coronavirus. Among them, 109 were still in the intensive care unit. The region also deplores 74 deaths, five more than the day before.
