On Wednesday, the president of the municipality, Carlos Carreiras (PSD), had revealed cases in that home, then with two employees and four infected users.
This is the second case in a few days of patients covid-19 in homes in the municipality of Cascais, after, on Monday, the Directorate-General for Health (DGS) reported an outbreak in a home in São Domingos de Rana .
In this home, 41 of the 46 users are infected with the new coronavirus, as well as six professionals from that residential structure, with one death registered.
The covid-19 pandemic has already claimed more than 512,000 deaths and infected more than 10.56 million people in 196 countries and territories, according to a report by the French agency AFP.
In Portugal, 1,579 people out of 42,454 confirmed as infected died, according to the most recent bulletin from the Directorate-General for Health.
