The NBA is defining the last 2 classified for the Playoffs. To warm up the atmosphere of one of the most important sporting events, Fortnite announced the event Fortnite x NBA: The Crossover, which brings 30 jerseys from the different basketball league franchises and much more.
The crossover will launch alongside this season’s NBA playoffs, which will begin later this week. All uniforms can be purchased through the in-game store from May 21, 2021. You can individually buy each shirt of your favorite team as well as the 30 pieces plus an additional uniform thanks to the In The Paint Set.

Other NBA-related items coming to Fortnite later this week include Hookshot Emote Y Mini Hoop Back Bling. The hoop can display any of the official logos of the 30 NBA teams and can be used by others to measure your aim outside of the paint. Additionally, NBA elements will also debut in Fortnite Creative.
The NBA crossover also brings with it something called Team Battles. Players can register to represent their chosen franchise in limited-space team battles. Each of the 30 teams has 15,000 spots available, which may seem like a lot, but the LA Lakers roster is already full. If you miss out, you can still sign up as a fan of a franchise and have a chance to win in-game rewards.
Epic had already worked with sports franchises, such as the NFL, soccer with the Pelé Cup and Neymar’s cosmetics.
