Fortnite Chapter 2 ends December 4 with big ‘The End’ event – Gaming – News

The second chapter of the free-to-play battle royale game Fortnite ends on December 4. A major in-game The End event will take place on that date. Developer Epic Games describes this as a “climactic event” after which “nothing will be the same”.

The End starts on December 4 at 10 PM Dutch time, although players can register half an hour in advance to participate in the event. This is a one-time only event. It is therefore not possible to play The End again after it has ended. It is not known how long The End will last.

During the event, teams of up to 16 players will take on the Cube Queen in ‘one last battle for the fate of the island’. Epic Games shows a teaser trailer for that, but shares few details about the final of Fortnite Chapter 2.

Once the event has started, it will no longer be possible to adjust game settings, reports Epic Games. Users can’t replays from The End, so users who want to capture the experience are recommended to record the gameplay through other methods. Players who participate in The End will receive a special loading screen and a wrap.

Fortnite Chapter 2 begon over two years ago, after the first chapter concluded with an in-game event. The game will be out after that event been offline for a few hours, because the entire game world disappeared into a black hole. Epic Games may do something similar after The End, as a prelude to Chapter 3. The developer does not share any details about that yet, but the game may again get a new one. map.
