Portuguese Antonio Felix da Costa (DS Techeetah), who started in the lead, led from start to finish in the second race of the New York ePrix, which he won on Sunday, ahead of Stoffel Vandoorne (Mercedes EQ) and Mitch Evans (Jaguar).

Da Costa, crowned Formula E champion in 2020, had a perfect race and brought the DS Techeetah team its first victory of the season. The bargain of the day is to be credited to Stoffel Vandoorne (155 points), who passed Edoardo Mortara (Venturi, 144 points) in the standings to take the lead in the World Championship, just four rounds from the end of the the season.

Jean-Éric Vergne (DS Techeetah), 18th in the first race on Saturday and caught in an accident on Sunday, fell from the podium in the drivers’ classification and is now in fourth place, 11 points behind Mitch Evans (Jaguar TCS Racing). Next appointments in London, in two weeks, then in Seoul, in mid-August.
