Kieran Cawley, a resident of Bexleyheath, Kent, England, and former resident of Carn, Gurteen, Co. Sligo, passed away on March 6th, 2023, unexpectedly. Kieran is predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Mary Cawley. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his heartbroken partner Áine Walsh, brothers Brendan and John of Gurteen, sisters Kathleen McDonald of Mullaghroe, Gurteen, Ann O’Leary of Ballyagran, Co. Limerick, and Marie O’Regan of Grange, Co. Sligo, aunt Nance Fisher from the U.K, sister-in-law Mary, brothers-in-law Michael, Auty, and Kevin, Áine’s family, nieces, nephews, grandniece, grandnephew, cousins, extended family, neighbors, and a large circle of friends. Kieran’s gentle soul will rest in eternal peace. His casket will rest at O’Dowd’s Funeral Home in Gurteen on Friday, March 31st, from 5 pm until 8 pm. On Saturday, April 1st, the funeral procession will leave for St. Patrick’s Church in Gurteen, where a Mass of the Resurrection will take place at 1 pm, followed by burial in Mount Irwin Cemetery. The funeral mass will be broadcast live via webcam at www.churchtv.ie/gurteen.
