Former Zimbabwe captain Heath Streak is reported to be in critical condition. Former Minister David Coltart informed through his Twitter handle that the star is currently undergoing treatment in South Africa and is on his deathbed.

The streak began on 10 November 1993 for Zimbabwe. Having played 189 ODIs and 65 Tests for the country, he is one of the greatest cricketers to have played for Zimbabwe. The player who scored 1990 runs and 216 wickets in Tests has 2943 runs and 239 wickets in ODIs. Streak was banned from cricket in 2021 for breaching the ICC’s anti-corruption guidelines.
