Former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright has died in the United States at the age of 84. The message appeared on Albright’s official page in Twitter.

Madeleine Albright was born in Prague. Having made a political career in the United States, she became an adviser to Bill Clinton. In 1997, she took the post of Secretary of State. This is the first time a woman has held such a position in the United States.

Madeleine Albright was in Ukraine twice as Secretary of State – in March 1998 and in April 2000.
In February of this year, in the publication The New York The Times published an article by Albright titled “Putin is making a historic mistake.” If Putin feels cornered, he has only himself to blame, the article said. “Ukraine has the right to sovereignty, no matter who its neighbors are. In the modern era, great countries recognize this, and Putin should do this too,” the ex-secretary of state emphasized in the article.
