Former Kostrad Commander Feels Sinful to Make a Statue of Suharto-AH Nasution

Dudung Abdurachman himself spoke about the demolition of the statue. Dudung said Azmyn Yusri Nasution felt guilty for making a statue of Suharto et al.

“Now the statue was taken by the initiator, Lt. Gen. TNI (Ret.) AY Nasution, who asked me for permission as the current Commander of Kostrad. So, I cannot refuse the request in question,” said Dudung.

Dudung denied that the taking of the statue concluded that the TNI had forgotten the events of the G-30S-PKI. Dudung emphasized that his party would never forget the incident.

“If the withdrawal of the three statues is concluded that we have forgotten the historical events of the G-30S-PKI rebellion in 1965, that is absolutely not true. I and Lt. Gen. (Ret.)
