Following his departure from GTST, Geert appeared in the TV series Costa! and in 2006 he participated in Wie Is De Mol?. A year later he finished second in Sterren Dansen Op Het IJs and appeared in the talent show So You Wanna Be A Popstar. After some presentation work for both RTL and SBS6, Geert then disappeared from the spotlight. After his television career, Geert decided to start a production company. But this proved unsuccessful. The surprise was great when the artistic agency Rocket Agency of artistic manager Benno de Leeuw, which also represents the interests of Mart Hoogkamer, René Froger and Frans Bauer with its partners, announced last summer that it had appointed Geert as its new director . Geert was then the successor to the artistic manager Ludo Voeten, partner of Marga Bult. But there also seems to be a snag in the cable. “Geert no longer works at Rocket Agency,” a source told Story. “He Got off with a fight.” The former actor’s departure is confirmed by Ludo, who still has good contacts within Rocket Agency. “I know Geert was fired in September,” Ludo tells Story. ‘I won’t comment on what happened. Geert was only there for a short time and is now gone. I sent him a message recently, but got no response.’

Rocket owner Benno de Leeuw doesn’t want to respond to Story. According to sources, Geert was involved in the theater tours of Mart Hoogkamer and Rolf Sanchez. Their managers Robert-Jan Schipper and Ruud ter Horst also do not want to comment on the reason for the departure, and this also applies to Geert himself. He tells Story, “My lawyers have advised me not to comment.”
