Former DUP Councillor Creep Walker Added to Sex Offenders Register After Hypocritical Slating of Colleague Over Groping Shame

Former DUP councillor William “Billy” Walker has been added to the sex offenders’ register years after criticizing former colleague Patrick Clarke over a drunken assault. Clarke was convicted and fined for the incident, leading Walker to call for his resignation from the Newry, Mourne and Down Council. However, Walker himself was later caught up in a paedophile hunter sting, leading to his arrest and subsequent guilty plea of attempting to sexually communicate with a child. Despite this, Walker clung to his council position for six months before finally being forced to step down for not attending meetings. Clarke criticized Walker for his hypocrisy, saying that he clung to power when faced with his own investigation. After being charged, Walker moved from Killyleagh, Co Down, to Blackpool. Although he admitted to one charge relating to the attempted sexual communication with a child, he denied a second charge, and he is yet to be sentenced. Walker was also booted out of the DUP and resigned as a case worker for the party’s Strangford MP Jim Shannon.
