Typically, brides who undergo the akad ceremony at a mosque wear a kebaya and a white coat. However, Wawan and Ratih opted for golden yellow Balinese traditional clothing, setting themselves apart from the norm.
“We wanted to do something different. It’s not common to see Balinese traditional attire at a mosque wedding,” Wawan added.
Looking Ahead
Following their wedding, Wawan and Ratih plan to hold a reception or thanksgiving event. Wawan expressed his intention to invite his former bandmates from Dewa 19, including Ari Lasso, to join in the celebration.
“I will definitely invite the Dewa 19 personnel,” Wawan confirmed.
