Foreign investment in Belgium declining, but China on the rise

Belgium attracted 227 foreign investment projects last year, 15 percent less than in 2019. China bucked the trend and doubled the number of investments in our country, according to the annual attractiveness barometer of the consulting firm EY.

As expected, the corona crisis slowed foreign investment across Europe. Due to the prevailing uncertainty, numerous plans have been abandoned or postponed.
