On Wednesday from the west, the cloudiness will increase and by the morning it will rain in many places in Western Bulgaria and the Central Pre-Balkans. This was announced by the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH). The wind will shift from the west-northwest and increase.
The minimum temperatures will be between 10° and 15°.
In the capital maximum temperatures will be 12°.
During the day, the cloudiness will break and decrease to mostly sunny weather, at the latest in Eastern Bulgaria. It will remain windy, with a moderate to strong westerly wind bringing cold air with it. The maximum temperatures will be from 18° – 20° in North-West Bulgaria to 23° – 25° in the southeastern regions of the country. In Sofia, the maximum temperature will be around 19°. Cloudiness will increase again on Thursday night.
Above the Black Sea cloudiness will be variable, more often significant in the afternoon hours, but it will be without precipitation. In the morning it will still blow to a moderate wind from the south-southwest, but after lunch it will turn from the west-northwest and increase. Maximum temperatures will be between 21° and 25°. The temperature of the sea water is 17°–21°. The excitement of the sea will be 2-3 points.
In the mountains it will be windy with strong winds from the west quarter. Before noon, over the massifs of Western Bulgaria and in the region of the Central Balkans, the cloud cover will be significant and there will be rain in some places. Clouds from the west will break and reduce to mostly sunny weather after midday. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1200 meters will be approx 15°at 2000 meters – about 8°.
Atmospheric pressure will decrease further and will be lower than the average for the month.
In Thursday cloudy weather will prevail. Rainfall will begin from the southwest, which will cover most of the country during the day. There is an increased probability of significant amounts in southern and eastern Bulgaria. Minimum temperatures will be relatively high, in most places between 7° and 12°and the prevailing maxima will be between 15° and 20°. On Friday night, the rain will stop, the clouds will break and decrease.
In Friday low cloud or fog will be present in many areas before noon; gradually during the day the visibility will improve, the clouds will break and decrease. Winds will be southerly, increasing during the day and, after a cool morning, daytime temperatures will rise and maximums will be between 19° and 24°. Cloudiness will begin to increase Saturday night.
