HERE IS THE THIRD – The third generation of the average suv Ford Kuga until now it was offered with two different hybrid systems. One is the lightweight hybrid of the Kuga Hybrid, with the 4-cylinder 2.0 EcoBlue diesel engine of 150hp combined with a small electric motor-generator. The other is the rechargeable hybrid of the Kuga Plug-In Hybrid, consisting of a 4-cylinder 2.5 petrol engine, a 110 HP engine / generator and a 10.3 kWh battery rechargeable from the outside: with a total power of 225 CV, also allows you to travel over 50 km in electric-only mode. But now a third choice is added for Ford Kuga customers, the version Full Hybrid.
RECHARGES DURING SLOW DOWN – The Ford Kuga Full Hybrid mounts the same 2.5 as the plug-in hybrid, with Atkinson cycle operation to improve its efficiency, but the batteries have less capacity and do not recharge from the outside: thanks to the energy recovery system, charging takes place in the slowdowns and braking. The engine has a total of 190 HP and the automatic transmission is of the Cvt type only. The Kuga Full Hybrid is offered with front-wheel drive or 4×4.
PRICES – The Ford Kuga Full Hybrid has prices starting at 31,300 euros for the set up Connect front-wheel drive, which become 33,550 if you choose four-wheel drive. There ST-Line, with a sportier look, starts at 35.00 euros or 37.250 with the 4×4. There ST-Line X has prices from 37,500 euros for the 4×2 version and from 39,750 euros for the 4×4. The top of the range Vignale (in the pictures) starts at 39,500 euros with front-wheel drive and from 41,750 euros with the integral.
WHAT THEY HAVE AS STANDARD – The set-up Connect comes standard with automatic climate control with separate controls for driver and passenger, LED headlights, 17 “wheels, multimedia system with 8” touch screen and some driving assistance systems, such as automatic braking, maintenance of lane and cruise control, in addition to the transversely sliding sofa: useful for increasing luggage space or comfort for passengers. There ST-Line in addition, it has black external moldings, dual exhaust, 18 “wheels, automatic windscreen wipers, sports suspension, rear camera, seats with more pronounced side bolsters and a 12.3” screen with dashboard functions.
AT THE TOP IS THE VIGNALE – L’ST-Line X adds the rear armrest with storage compartment, the sports pedals, the electrically adjustable driver’s seat and the tailgate with automatic opening and closing system, in addition to the B&O audio system with ten speakers, while the Vignale it has chromed external friezes, leather upholstery and heated front, rear seats and steering wheel.
