Forchheim – A lawyer from Forchheim has now overturned the mask regulation that applies to the city center.
Simple reason: There are not enough people on the street!

When the lawyer and his client Rainer G. (39) looked out of the window at a meal in the city center, they asked themselves: “Why is it mandatory to wear a mask? There is almost no one on the street. The 1.5 meter minimum distance can be maintained everywhere. “
In Forchheimer-City, it is mandatory to wear a mask on Hauptstraße from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Bögelein and his client filed an urgent application to the administrative court in Bayreuth on November 12: the court should examine whether it is necessary to wear mouth and nose protection in the city center in order to prevent infections.
On November 17, the judges of the 7th Chamber made an on-site visit in Forchheim to review the situation. One day later, the verdict was clear: The mask requirement is partially lifted because it is not required in the areas mentioned.
Judgment tenor: At first glance, it is noticeable that there are no areas in the mandatory mask area or in the city at all where it is impossible for passers-by to keep the minimum distance.
The District Office followed suit – the mask requirement now only applies in Hauptstraße on weekdays from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is restricted on Bahnhofplatz.
In two large squares in the city center (Paradeplatz and Rathausplatz), the mask requirement was completely lifted.
