And the Zamalek administration had decided, headed by Mortada Mansour, who is now serving a one-year prison sentence in the case of insulting and slandering Mahmoud Al-Khatib, president of Al-Ahly Club, the return of the Portuguese, Josealdo Ferreira, as coach of the team until the end of the current season 2022-2023, and completing his contract earlier.
The decision to return the Portuguese coach (77 years) to his position came approximately 10 days after his dismissal from his post, following Zamalek’s famous loss to Ghazl El Mahalla (2-1) in the 15th round of the local league championship, and the appointment of Osama Nabih as general coach instead of him. The decision to return Ferreira came after the club’s management failed to convince the Portuguese coach to waive half of the penalty clause stipulated in his contract, and his adherence to obtaining a 3-month salary in order to complete the departure process and settle the matter.
