For the first time in 50 years: Comic-Con in San Diego canceled

The big Comic-Con fair in California San Diego with over a hundred thousand visitors is canceled for 2020. Because of the corona virus crisis, Comic-Con will be down for the first time in its 50-year history, the organizers said on Friday. The multi-day meeting was scheduled for late July. It should only take place again in 2021.

“Extraordinary times require extraordinary measures. Although we are sad to take these measures, we know that it is the right decision,” said David Glanzer, Spokesman for the organizers.
