For St. Patrick’s Day, the city of Chicago dyes its river green

Every March 17, Irish people from all over the world come together to celebrate the Saint Patrick. But this year, as in 2020 moreover, no evenings in pubs or parades. Pandemic obliges, St. Patrick’s Day is celebrated at home. In Dublin and New York as in several big cities of the world, the big parades are canceled.

But at Chicago, we at least respected a tradition : dye the river green! A loose boat a special dye (environmentally friendly) and the water turns bright green which ends up disappearing after a few days.
