He had created Facebook to compare the physique of Harvard students. Today he is the one who excluded Donald Trump for two years from his social network. Mark Zuckerberg probably never imagined having to make such decisions. But seventeen years ago he created a monster that has largely escaped him. The founder of Facebook had insisted that he never wanted to be “the arbiter of truth”. But in this month of June 2021, yes, Mark Zuckerberg had to become this arbiter by pronouncing this sentence against the former American president.
For Facebook, this is just the beginning of the story and the beginning of its troubles. This decision makes sense given the damage Donald Trump caused online during his tenure.
