Cologne (dpa) – Coach Christian Streich sees the Bundesliga soccer club SC Freiburg well positioned despite the cuts in the wake of the corona pandemic. “We are a club that has been run very seriously – for decades. We don’t take any risks. The pandemic is hurting everyone, including us. If we have to, then we have to make sure that we train the boys so well that the larger clubs can take one or commit other players. Then we make a living from it, we’ve always done that,” Streich told Sky TV before the game at 1. FC Köln.
He has no qualms about that. “We are in such a good position. One or the other club must have more worries,” added Streich.
