The situation in connection with the preparatory match between Slavia Prague and football players of Zlatý Moraviec brings a fairy-tale scenario. Both clubs showed that arrogance and negative emotion can be replaced by a positive story and helping a good cause.
First, a quick summary of what actually happened. Football Slovan played a preparatory match against the Russian Dinamo Moscow. Whether he tried to hide it or just “forgot” to communicate it, they must know in the club, but it was not met with positive reactions.
Slovan had planned a preparatory duel with the Czech Slavia Prague, but the latter decided that it did not want to play a match with a team that does not hold the same values and is playing a match with the Russian team during the war in Ukraine. Even the fans were not enthusiastic about the possible duel with Slovan.
And here comes the fairy tale part. Club owner Ivan Kmotrík said this in an interview for Diary of Nthat they could also play with Zlatý Moravci in Slovakia.
Moravce caught on to it and wrote X Slavia Praha on the social network.

It didn’t take long and the official confirmation of the match was on the table.
The dream has come true!
Today in the evening, the management of FC ViOn agreed with Slavia Praha on a joint match, which will take place during the first weekend of February.
Proceeds from the match will be donated to support Ukraine.

What happened after that shows the beautiful power of social networks and also the good that replaced the negative emotion in the interview from the Godfather.
Both clubs agreed that it will not be just such an ordinary football match, but will also have an impact beyond the boundaries of the field.
Proceeds from the match and support that fans can send will go towards the purchase of field ambulances for the transport of the injured for Ukraine.

O2 TV was also involved, which will broadcast the entire duel and will support the charity event Beyond the Field’s Boundaries.
The popularity of the whole event was not only increased by the representatives of Slavia, but also by the Zlatý Moraviec account on the X social network.
The hockey club of the Czech Extraliga HC Olomouc wrote that when matches are arranged for them via the social network, they try to tag NHL clubs to see if they would like to play with them. The Moravians responded that if they don’t answer, they will start a hockey club and play with them.

Then they added a post where they asked Slavia if they would have a trdelnik in the dressing room. Even one of the biggest Czech YouTubers, Kluk z Prahy from the Kluci z Prahy channel, responded to this.
They make videos about Prague and one of their favorite topics is the overabundance of “traditional Czech trdelniks” in Prague, which are not Czech at all and certainly not traditional in the Czech Republic.
A boy from Prague offered them that he would prepare trdelniks before the match, Slavia Praha took advantage of that and wrote that she would provide a stand for their production.

And, of course, Slavia’s request did not go unheeded either. The operations director of Slavia Praha posted a picture on the social network with an order of trdelniks for the players of Zlatý Moraviec.
And he didn’t forget to mention Olomouc either, maybe we will really see a preparatory duel between the hockey and football clubs.

And in order to properly enjoy the match with the Slovak club in Prague, bryndza dumplings will be served in one of the buffets at the stadium!
