The municipality of Sint-Katelijne-Waver is going to sell its own merchandising. This includes a mug, a fleece blanket or stockings with a reference to the municipality on it. “Proud Catholics can become ambassadors for the municipality in this way,” says Mayor Kristof Sels.

The municipal council of Sint-Katelijne-Waver gets the mustard from a few world cities. “You sometimes see people walking with a reference to New York or Amsterdam on their T-shirt,” says Mayor Kristof Sels (N-VA). “Of course we cannot compare ourselves with these cities, but we do want to give our residents the opportunity to show that they are proud of their municipality.”
“At the moment we are already giving goodie bags to our new residents,” it sounds. “It includes a mug, a carrying bag and a fleece blanket with a reference to #SKWleeft. We want to expand that offer further in the short term. Before the holidays, for example, we also want to add champagne glasses and cheerful stockings to the range. There will also be a puzzle of mascot Skwibus on the market.”
Anyone who knows a proud resident of Sint-Katelijne-Waver knows immediately what to buy for under the Christmas tree. “And in the spring we want to launch additional products, for example for outdoors or for sports. It should always be about very practical products that really benefit our residents.”
