Good news this time for Focus, which, with the publication of its latest financial results, is proud to announce the acquisition of the German studio Deck13. The transaction amounts to 7.1 million euros and allows the French to get their hands on franchises like Lords of the Fallen and The Surge.
The studio and its 60 employees had generated a turnover of 5.5 million euros in the 2019 financial year. For its part, Focus Home Interactive announces growth of 13% with a turnover of 142.8 million euros in the fiscal year March 2019 / March 2020, when it was only 126 million euros a year earlier.
The group’s profit is also increasing (19.2 million euros against 14.1 a year earlier), but, alas, the new fiscal year of Focus does not start with good news. The editor must actually draw a line under Farming Simulator, the Giants studio having also opted for self-publishing.
