Gold prices stabilized in Egypt during evening trading today, Thursday, relative to mid-trade prices, with the metal easing globally.
And the price of an ounce of gold jumped £50 in early trading today, before coming back and losing it in mid-trading.
And the US Federal Reserve announced on Wednesday that it raised interest rates for the seventh time this year, and the rate of increase was 0.5%, in line with expectations, so that the interest rates would be between 4.25% and 4.5%. .
Yesterday’s decision means reducing the pace of interest rate hikes initiated by the Federal Reserve (the central bank of the United States) since last March.
Gold prices today
The price of 14-karat gold has reached 1100 pounds per gram.
The price of 18-karat gold registered around 1414 pounds per gram.
The price of 21-karat gold stood at £1,650 per gram.
The price of 24 carat gold was around £1886 per gram.
The price of the gold pound
The price of the gold pound has fixed itself at £13,200, and the price can vary from one dealer to another, and this price is equal to the value of the gold in the pound.
The global price of gold
Global gold prices fell during evening trading on Thursday to around $1777 an ounce, a drop of 1.64%, according to data from the Bloomberg agency.
