From Saturday, a boat will sail through the city as a tribute to the deceased in recent months and to support relatives. The boat, Hart van Troost, is meant for the people who have had to say goodbye to their loved ones by corona under sometimes very difficult circumstances, which makes mourning extra difficult.

Surviving relatives can leave a flower with a personal message for the person they are missing. In the evening the boat is illuminated with hundreds of LED lights. From July 4 to 11, the boat will sail through the city from 4 PM to midnight. On Sunday 12 July by the neighboring municipalities of Diemen and Weesp.

‘It has been a very nasty time for many. It is hard to imagine how difficult it is to lose a loved one and not be able to say goodbye. We let the Heart of Consolation sail around for all the deceased and their relatives. We invite everyone who has lost a loved one to apply for a flower. “

Relatives can request a flower for free on this site until 10 July. This is placed on the boat the day after. The flower may be for someone who has died of corona, but it is not necessary. The Heart of Consolation commemorates all the deceased in this difficult time.
