In concert hall La Madeleine, the Flemish Radio Choir will play from the Great American Songbook on Thursday evening. Composer Jeroen D’hoe wrote the arrangements and is also behind the piano.

The Great American Songbook is a collective name for some 500 classics. “They were written for Broadway in New York in the 1920s, 30s, and 40s,” D’hoe said.
On Thursday evening, the Vlaams Radiokoor organizes a unique concert evening in La Madeleine, completely themed. To relive the atmosphere, everyone will also be dressed up.
Jeroen D’hoe is professor of pop music at KU Leuven. His lessons include The Great American Songbook. He has already met students during his tour: “They came on their own initiative. That was very nice”.
