Around 4.45pm a Kia in Olekenbosstraat stopped at the intersection with Kerkstraat and Beukenhofstraat. An Alfa Romeo and a BMW were driving in opposite directions on the main road. When BMW wanted to turn left into the Olekenbosstraat, it went wrong. Alfa Romeo could no longer avoid the BMW and hit sideways. The impact crashed the BMW into the stationary Kia. Five occupants of the two moving cars were taken to hospital by ambulance. The three vehicles involved had to be towed. Part of the Olekenbosstraat was closed to traffic for a while.
