Eleven Normans are returning medal winners from Lyon this Sunday, January 16. They were each crowned in their category at the national final of the Skills Olympiad. In detail, the region wins five gold medals, four silver and two bronze. Nearly 600 young people under the age of 23, including 36 from Normandy, took part in the competition from January 13 to 15 : students, apprentices, employees, buyers or business creators.

These eleven medalists will represent Normandy during the international final of the competition this year in Shanghai, China.
The 5 gold medals (one per team):
- Lucas Liehrmann (Montreuil en Caux 76) in a butcher’s shop
- Thomas Degrendele (Saint Germain le Vieux – 61) in masonry
- Briac Delaigue (Caen – 14) in software solutions for the company
- Aurélien Hareau (Blainville sur Orne – 14) and Antoine Lepoil (Avranches – 50) in mechatronics
- Deborah Corrette (Cherbourg en Cotentin – 50) in welding
The 4 silver medals:
- Romain Simon (Sainte Opportune – 61) in carpentry
- Adrien Nicolas (Caen – 14) in stone cutting
- Valentin Beuzelin (Le Pin – 14) milling
- Mathéo Dromer (Flers – 61) and horticulture
The 2 bronze medals:
- Pierre Tymen (Brix – 50) in carpentry
- Mathieu Lecâble (Fortmentin – 14) in painting / decoration
