First vaccination day in Brussels shops ends at 123 from … (Brussels)

Brussels –

At the end of the first day of vaccination in a number of Brussels shops, a total of 123 people received a corona vaccine from Johnson & Johnson. Inge Neven, head of the Brussels health inspectorate, reports this on Monday evening.

55 people received a corona vaccine in the Carrefour hypermarket in Evere, 35 in the Carrefour in Auderghem and a further 33 others in the Action in Molenbeek-Saint-Jean.

“We are satisfied,” said Neven. “Every beginning is always a bit difficult: people have doubts and want to think about whether to come back the next day.”

At the request of Comeos, the federation for trade and services, the shops are doing their part to boost vaccination coverage in the capital.

The vaccination points at the Carrefour in Evere and Auderghem are set up from Monday to Friday. Shots are taken from Monday to Thursday at the Action in Molenbeek. Vaccinations will also take place from Wednesday to Friday at Primark’s shop in Ixelles and on Friday and Saturday customers can get their dose of the vaccine at Ikea in Anderlecht.
