Medical authorities in China have found that Flu remedy “clearly effective” in the treatment of COVID-19 patients. This is favipiravir, also known as T-705, Avigan or favilavir.
This is especially the case with mild and moderate symptoms drug effective. In patients with severe COVID-19 disease, however, the effectiveness is significantly lower.
Patients who received favipiravir were tested negative for the pathogen on average after 4 days. Without favipiravir, the test results were negative on average only after 11 days. This was announced by representatives of the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology.
