First Night of Playoffs for Third Season of ‘El Gran Chef Famosos’ Brings Surprises and Eliminations

This Monday, September 11, the first night of the playoffs for the third season of “El Gran Chef Famosos” took place. Six contestants returned to the show’s kitchen in search of a spot in the final round, only 3 of them will return to the competition.

The first night of the repechage round featured the participation of six former competitors: Rocky Belmonte, Fátima Aguilar, Beatriz ‘La Herbolaria’ Martínez, ‘Loco’ Wagner, Josi Martínez and Mayra Goñi.

The program was full of surprises, among them, ‘Loco’ Wagner won the challenge of the first dish of the night, obtaining the benefit of choosing which dishes each of the participants was going to prepare. In this way, he chose to make some alfajores.

To everyone’s surprise, Rocky Belmonte had the highest score on the first night of elimination with 12 points. Although he was also the first eliminated from the program, Belmonte surprised the jury with his preparation of Chi Jau Cuy.

The table is completed by Mayra Goñi with 8 points, Josi Martínez with 7 points and a three-way tie between Fátima Aguilar, Beatriz Martínez and ‘Loco’ Wagner with 6 points each. It should be noted that ‘La Herbolaria’ had obtained 9 points, but lost 3 by having the lowest score in the first challenge of the night.

This was the beginning of the playoffs for the third season of “The Great Famous Chef.” Of the six participants, only the 3 with the highest scores will return to the program. The cooking reality show is broadcast from Monday to Friday at 8 pm while on Saturdays it is at 8:30 pm, on Latina.
