For years, the fans but also the actor Dwayne Johnson been looking forward to a movie about the DC Comics character Black Adam, which was created by Otto Binder and CC Beck. Black Adam is the big opponent of Shazam that we already saw in 2019 in Shazam! and returns in Shazam! Fury of the Gods (2023).
The first look at the film appeared at DC Fandome Black Adam set to hit theaters worldwide in the summer of 2022. The Rock represents the character who has been imprisoned for 5,000 years and possesses the same powers as Shazam.
Black Adam is seen in the comics as an anti-hero, as he wants to clear his name after his past crimes. But for that he will have to do something.

Below you can see the First Look at Black Adam from director Jaume Collet-Serra, known for the recent Disney film Jungle Cruise also with Johnson. Other characters are played by Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher, Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, Quintessa Swindell as Cyclone, Pierce Brosnan as Kent Nelson/Doctor Fate, and Sarah Shahi as Adrianna Tomaz.
Black Adam is scheduled for July 29, 2022.
