First expansion for Pokémon Sword and Shield will appear in two weeks – Gaming – News

The Isle of Armor will be released on June 17, the first expansion for Switch games Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. The expansion takes place on an island with new environments, new Pokémon and includes a new storyline.

The extension adds both familiar and new Pokémon. For example, Exeggutor and Tauros are part of the DLC, and Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres and Slowbro have Galarian variants. New are the fighting types Kubfu and the Urshifu Evolution. The trailer also shows new Gigantamax versions of Blastoise and Venusaur.

Players can obtain the DLC as part of the expansion pass, which is for sale for 30 euros in the Nintendo eShop. With that pass, players will get a second expansion later this year, entitled The Crown Tundra, coming out in the fall. The extensions are not available separately.
