First Episode ‘Hawkeye’ Causes Continuity Error in ‘The Avengers’ [SPOILER]

Marvel’s latest series Hawkeye is now on Disney+, turning back the clock for the opening scene of the first episode to reveal that Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) has been part of the MCU since The Avengers from 2012.

In the sequence we see a young Kate with her mother in her parental home in New York, in the middle of the spectacular ‘battle for New York’ from the first team-up film.

The scene lasts a few minutes and shows us her perspective on this life-changing event for her as a character and the MCU in general, but at the same time makes an ugly continuity error.

S T A R K
This is the famous ‘Stark Tower’. During the fight with Loki, the S, T, R and K break down leading to the revelation of only the A left, giving birth to the ‘Avengers Tower’. It was a nice detail.

Those who remember well may know that the K goes to the ground first. In Hawkeye however, we see a shot of Kate Bishop looking up at ‘Stark Tower’ in the aftermath of the attack, with both the A and K intact. All this was noticed by a Reddit user who took a screenshot which you can view below:

Frankly, of course, this is not a notorious “coffee cup in Game Of Thrones“ish mess and some of you might call it ants**king again, but somehow it’s kinda sloppy for a big studio.
