First DFB-Pokal round timed – 1860-BVB on free TV

In coordination with the TV partners, the DFB has scheduled the first DFB Cup round of the 2022/23 season at exactly the right time.

A total of 30 matches are scheduled for the last weekend in July, and two more games will be played at the end of August. On Friday, July 29 (from 8.45 p.m.), ZDF will broadcast the duel between third division club 1860 Munich and runners-up Borussia Dortmund. “Sky” broadcasts all 32 games of the first round of the cup live.

The first round will open on Friday from 6 p.m. with three games: Oberliga club TSG Neustrelitz hosts second division club Karlsruher SC, regional division club 1. FC Kaan-Marienborn 07 meets second division club 1. FC Nürnberg and third division club SG Dynamo Dresden meets federal division club VfB Stuttgart.

Second division club 1. FC Magdeburg and Europa League winner Eintracht Frankfurt conclude the first cup weekend on August 1st. The certainly atmospheric game will be shown live on Monday evening from 8.45 p.m. on ARD and on “Sky”.

Two current German title holders complete the first round of the cup: on August 30th, a Tuesday, regional league club FC Teutonia 05 Ottensen welcomes the reigning cup winners RB Leipzig from 8.45 p.m. – to be seen live on ZDF and on “Sky”.

The next day at the same time on ARD and on “Sky” the duel between third division team Viktoria Köln and champions Bayern Munich will be broadcast. Then the last club that moves into the second round of the cup (held in mid-October) will also be known.

On July 30th, cup winners Leipzig will welcome champions Bayern in the national Supercup.
