The first edition of the event “Barrancosmos” will take place this weekend, in the municipality of Barrancos, to observe the planets and “swarms of stars” of the Milky Way and debate themes and exchange experiences on astronomy.
According to the Alqueva Development and Infrastructure Company (EDIA), the organizer in partnership with other entities, the event will be “a party of the stars” with the participation of researchers, amateur astronomers and anyone who wants to share experiences of observation and astronomical photography .
This Saturday, the event, with free entry but mandatory registration, will include several lectures on astronomy, musical entertainment, a dinner and astronomical observations.
Tomorrow, there will be two tours, one for bird watching in the Noudar Nature Park and another cultural tour through the historic center of the village of Barrancos.
