A firefighter was injured during a fire drill at a campsite in the North Holland town of Starnmeer. The rescuer was taken to hospital with unknown injuries, the Zaanstreek-Waterland Safety Region reported.
According to witnesses, the fire brigade held a tree felling exercise on the naturist site. A tree would have fallen in the wrong direction, hitting the firefighter, reports NH News.
Several ambulances and an air ambulance were called after the incident. Witnesses report that the fire brigade more often conducts exercises in this area.
