A dramatic accident took place this morning in Kourou. A tank truck of the Paris firefighters went off the road, we deplore one dead and 3 injured
A terrible accident occurred this morning around 8:30 a.m. inside the Guiana Space Center. A truck with four Paris firefighters on board was rushed to the Soyuz launch pad. After a night of torrential rain, the road being slippery, the tanker went off the road.
The toll is heavy: one of the firefighters transported by helicopter to the Kourou Hospital Center will not survive his injuries. The three other soldiers are injured but their vital prognosis is no longer engaged.
The deceased firefighter had a wife and 3 children. Like all firefighters in Paris, he was also a volunteer at the Kourou Rescue Center.
