Sunday morning a fire broke out in one of the buildings of a rubber processor on the Kanaaldijk in Nederweert.

The fire brigade arrived on the scene with a fire truck, ladder truck and water truck. The duty officer was also asked for assistance. There is said to have been a small fire at a filter of a mill. It is not clear how it could have arisen. There would also have been 2 cubic meters of rubber on fire.
The company’s employees were able to get to safety. Local residents may be bothered by stench.
