The “Triple Gold Club”, one of the most illustrious circles in world ice hockey, includes 29 names. Its members have won the Stanley Cup, Olympic gold and the world title. Tampere could welcome a 30th member on Sunday: Valtteri Filppula, captain of World Cup hosts Finland and Geneva/Servette forward at club level. Filppula, 38, was one of the key players in the amazing Finland team that took gold in Beijing in February.
