On October 17, 2018, the elected officials of the Community of communes of the Fouesnant country will inaugurate the new nurserycompanies, zone of Troyalac’h South to Saint-Évarzec. Its 14 offices have been taken over and are all already occupied. About the old building of the Association for Help Against Bank Abuse, Bruno Merrien, the elected official in charge of economic development at the Community of communes of the Fouesnant country (CCPF), indicates:

We had the opportunity to buy these premises which have a privileged position. Indeed, we wanted a space that is already in an activity area, in the middle of other businesses. What guided us in this project was employment.

Investment of 820,000 euros

The acquisition of the building at public auction dates back to June 2017. The community paid 356,000 euros excluding tax at the time. The sum of 460,000 euros before tax was also invested to carry out the work.

The opening of this business space quickly aroused interest. Its 14 offices are already occupied. Among other things, they host companies Tell, Lozenge, Expand, Heol… “We had to refuse requests because we favored young companies, already created or in development”, continues Bruno Merrien. This nursery also contains a co-working space, so-called flying offices and a meeting room.

The creation of this type of place comes more and more from private initiatives like The Corner and from the Village by CA in Brest or from Swenson House in Audierne. However, the CCPF did not choose this path. Its president, Roger Le Goff, explains: “Private initiatives are more focused on metropolitan areas. I consider it our duty to act in this area. “

Another project in sight

The opening of this business incubator is just one step in the CCPF’s economic development strategy. It plans to create another place to accommodate freelancers and telework workers.

Roger Le Goff imagines this future pole closer to Fouesnant and the sea.

Here, we have an exceptional living environment. This asset must be part of the package to be offered to these entrepreneurs.

The calendar has not yet been decided, but the elected official wants to move forward fairly quickly on this issue. “I want this project to be part of our budget guidelines for next year. “
